Terms of service
LEGAL
The Yard Mint refines and distributes precious metals. Utilising an international bullion network provides consumers access to institutional-grade returns on vaulted precious metal.
This platform is operated by The Yard Mint Limited. By accessing our site, opening an account or purchasing physical assets, you agree to be contractually bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Core Operations
Our business focuses on the refining and distribution of precious metals in the United Kingdom. See our Services Page for a list of products and operations.
We reserve the right to limit product allocations or restrict distributions to any person, household or geographic jurisdiction at our sole discretion.
2. Legal Custody and Vault Allocation
When you hold precious metals within our vault, your assets are protected by the definitive legal principles of bailment under English Law. You retain absolute, unencumbered legal and beneficial title to your physical metals at all times. You are the complete custodian of your property; The Yard Mint acts strictly as your physical storage keeper.
Your holdings are 100% physically backed, fully segregated and safely allocated within verified institutional vault facilities inside the United Kingdom and across our secure international partner networks (including segregated infrastructure in the United States).
Because these physical items belong entirely to you, they are completely separate from our corporate balance sheet. They cannot be pooled, loaned, leveraged or claimed by third-party corporate creditors under any circumstances.
3. Storage Rates and Account Fees
All comprehensive vault storage rates, liquidation percentages, network transaction rules, dynamic account tier incentives and late payment administrative fees do not reside within this policy. To view up-to-date figures and tier structures, please see our live Vault Terms, Rates and Fees Page.
4. Market Prices and Final Sales Notice
Precious metal markets fluctuate continuously based on global spot indices. Under UK consumer law—specifically Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013—the standard 14-day statutory right to cancel or return an e-commerce order does not apply to any contract where the price is dependent on financial market fluctuations outside the trader's control.
Because our refined metals, bullion coins and collectables track live spot pricing scales directly, all submitted orders, purchase commitments and invoices are instantly final, legally binding and non-cancellable by the buyer.
5. Account and Billing Integrity
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any transaction or order request you place with us. This includes restrictions on orders placed under the same profile, credit card or matching billing and shipping locations to maintain security compliance.
You agree to maintain complete, accurate and verifiable personal identity and account details. You must update your profile lines promptly so that we can verify transfers and fulfill our regulatory requirements.
6. Prohibited Uses
You are strictly prohibited from using our website, database interfaces or physical assets:
- For any unlawful purpose or to breach regional UK regulations and anti-money laundering laws;
- To upload, seed or transmit viruses, tracking exploits or malicious structural codes;
- To deploy automated scraping tools, spider frameworks or data-mining systems against our Shopify network infrastructure.
7. Disclaimers and Liability Scope
The Yard Mint Limited is a commercial metal refiner, distributor and physical bailee. We are not a financial institution or investment house regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and our accounts are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). All historical charts, spot indicators and marketplace content are for general informational purposes and do not constitute regulated investment, tax or financial advice.
In no case shall The Yard Mint, our directors or our global vault partners be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential financial damages—including lost savings, market value drops or capital erosion—resulting from your decisions or asset selections.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any transactional contracts whereby we provide you refined assets or secure custody are governed completely by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales.
