About this range

Buying collectables from The Yard Mint

Limited-mintage releases, licensed collaborations and graded proofs — this range covers gold and silver pieces bought for rarity and design as much as metal content. Recent releases have included licensed Disney, Star Wars and Pokémon coins alongside privy-marked and historic-date Pandas.

Mintages are fixed and often small, so availability changes quickly — once a run sells out, we can't reorder it. Pricing reflects both the metal content and the collectible premium, which we set transparently rather than marking up once demand appears.

If you're new to collectable coins, graded and certified pieces are the safest starting point since their authenticity and condition are independently verified. For metal-focused buying instead, see our bullion range.

Collectables — common questions

What makes a coin 'collectible' rather than bullion?

Limited mintage, licensed artwork, a privy mark, grading, or historic significance — any of these can add a premium above the coin's metal value. That premium depends on demand and can rise or fall independently of the gold or silver price.

Do collectable prices track the spot price?

Only partly. The metal content still moves with spot, but the collectible premium is driven separately by rarity and demand, so total price movement won't match spot movement exactly.

What does 'graded' mean?

A graded coin has been independently assessed and certified for authenticity and condition by a recognised grading service, then sealed in a protective holder. Grading typically adds a premium but removes uncertainty about condition.

How quickly do you dispatch?

All in-stock orders are dispatched within 24 hours of cleared payment, fully insured, via Royal Mail Special Delivery, FedEx or DHL. You'll receive tracking updates throughout.

Do you buy collectables back?

Yes, though pricing on collectable and limited-mintage pieces depends on current demand rather than a fixed formula. Get in touch with details of what you're selling for a quote.
